What We Are About

Bad Kitty Animal Rescue is a passionate advocate for the voiceless felines in our community. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is dedicated to addressing the cat overpopulation crisis and increasing the overall health of the outside cat community.  Rescuing abandoned, elderly and injured felines that could better survive indoors can be adopted through our adoption program after receiving the proper care through our dedicated foster volunteers. Our mission also involves reducing the number of kitten births through our Trap/Neuter/Release program. This program is time consuming and requires the cooperation of the colony feeder. Outside cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and released back into their original cat community. The colony must then be monitored by the feeder to be effective in maintaining its health and controlling its population.

We also utilize foster volunteers for pregnant mothers and nursing kittens as well as abandoned kittens that need to be bottle fed. Once the kittens are weened, dewormed, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered, we  begin the process of adopting them to their forever homes.

Bad Kitty Rescue knows that it takes a village to care for our cat community. Education and close communication with other organizations is vital to accomplishing our goals. We welcome all of the help that we can get!

TNVR

Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Release

Humane traps are utilized to collect the feral kitties. They head to the veterinary office for a medical checkup, deworming, vaccination, and neuter or spay. The ear of the cat will be clipped to identify it as a member of the outside cat community. Once the kitty has properly healed from its surgery, it will be released back into its familiar cat territory and monitored by their cat care human community.

FOSTERS AND BOTTLE BABIES

We foster our rescued kitties. We match them with the perfect foster and temporary home for their unique situations. Elderly, injured, abandoned, pregnant, and nursing.

Bottle babies are those kittens that have been abandoned and are too young to eat on their own. They must be cared for and bottle fed by experienced fosters who will take care of them until fully weened.
