As we focus on the over population of the outside cat communities, we often see cats that do not belong outside. These are cats that have been dumped and abandoned. They may be elderly and sick or injured. A lot of times we find pregnant females ready to give birth. Many times we find kittens that are alone and motherless. Our mission is to help these cats any way that we can. If they are able to be inside kitties, we will do what we can to help them find their forever homes. This requires us to take them to a veterinary facility for a health exam, fiv/felv testing, deworming, vaccinating and if needed, spay or neuter. They will remain with our fosters until they are ready to be adopted.
Bad Kitty Animal Rescue utilizes caring volunteers to foster our rescued kitties until they are adopted. Bad Kitty covers feeding and vet bills for these fosters so that they may give the best care and most loving experience for the cat. The cats will be matched to the foster depending on the circumstance. Some fosters may choose to foster a pregnant cat until she gives birth. They will then monitor the mom while she cares for her kittens. Once the kittens are weened, they will received vet care and be spayed or neutered, if possible, before they’re adopted. The mother will be spayed and adopted as well.

Kittens who have been abandoned and are too young to eat on their require special care. These are our bottle babies. They require kitten replacement milk to be fed through bottles or droppers to receive their nutrition. Fostering these babies takes a lot of love and a lot of patience. I have to admit that raising bottle babies is one of my favorite parts of rescue. Bad Kitty will help at every step by funding feeding supplies and vet care for these fosters kittens. We do require that if you foster these young babies that you have experience in neonatal care and have done it before. Please contact us for further information or if you are interested in fostering bottle babies at: info@badkittyrecue.com or call us at (614) 208-5984.
